Nicholas Cobb No.17
DRAWING, PHOTOGRAPHY, ARTIST'S BOOKS
Nick Cobb plays fast and loose with time in his ink drawings of Rye Lane. From pre-history to an uncertain future the area is depicted as bustling with life. He imagines Rye Lane in a not too distant future when sea-levels have risen to flood London. Rye Lane has adapted and a canal runs along its length. Angel-like beings watch over proceedings, perhaps ghosts from the past whose warnings of climate catastrophe were ignored.
