The Nunhead Art Trail is organised by a team of volunteers and is aimed at artists/craftspeople who want to show and sell their work in their own homes/studios, or local venues within the area of Nunhead and for visitors to meet the artists.

The Art Trail takes place over one weekend. The dates for 2024 are the 28th & 29th September. Participating venue will be open from 11 AM to 6 PM.

Artists will open their homes and studios across Nunhead, showing paintings, sculpture, print, photography, ceramics, jewellery and textiles.

Group shows will take place in the Salvation Army Hall, Stuart Road Allotments and at the Anglican Chapel in Nunhead Cemetery. There will be a special exhibition at the Hidden House Gallery (Venue 31), with an opening event on the 26th September from 6 - 9pm – all are welcome. And there’s a free evening of stage performances at The Ivy House (Venue 36), featuring comedy, sound performances and live music from 6 - 11pm on Saturday the 28th.

Community centres, local businesses, schools and a local youth club will join in. Shop windows will be transformed by local artists, making all of Nunhead a gallery. Everyone is invited to explore Nunhead via its Art Trail, whether you're a local resident or a visitor from beyond the bounds. There's something for everyone across a weekend that celebrates fabulous local arts, crafts and creativity.
